Regional Renewable Energy Programmes

There are many ways that the Green Energy Centre and its partners are overcoming the Barriers to Renewable Energy:

Creative Environmental Networks, a not-for-profit organisation working in the field of renewable energy, works closely with businesses, local government and community groups to deliver on regional strategies and policies. Two such regional programmes include the Renewable Energy Action for London and Kent Renewable Energy Network.

Renewable Energy Action for London (REAL) is a partnership project aiming to address the challenges of the Mayor's Energy Strategy through providing support to the non-domestic sector in accessing renewable energy. The initiative is guided by a Steering Group that includes representatives from London Renewables, the Energy Saving Trust, London Environmental Coordinators' Forum and London's Local Authorities.

The Kent Renewable Energy Network (KREN) coordinates the range of organisations that are working towards achieving the regional targets for renewable energy production. The network aims to enable the partners to achieve their shared aims of increasing awareness of and growing the market for renewable energy in Kent.
