Educational Projects

Paving the way to the next generation.

Have you ever thought about how much energy your school uses? Maybe you would like to know how you can reduce your school’s energy bills and improve the working environment for pupils and staff alike?

Children at St Joseph's school in Croydon

CEN operates a range of schemes, which address energy usage in schools. We have worked with a large number of schools to devise energy action plans and organise events, which allow teachers, pupils, parents and governors to learn about energy and the environment in fun and innovative ways:

· Advice and information – want to know what you can do to save energy in your school? We have lots of top tips!
· Energy audits – we can visit your school and work with your site manager and school eco committee to assess energy usage. There may be an opportunity for significant cost savings through behavioural changes and the installation of energy efficiency measures
· Installation Management – need help in installing a new heating system? Perhaps you’d like to harness the power of the Sun and install solar panels on your school roof? Our installation teams can help you access reliable installers (and grants) for the installation of energy efficient and renewable energy technologies
· Learning about energy – our schools education team run energy awareness activities, including assembly presentations, quizzes and competitions. Or how about inviting neighbouring schools to participate in a solar car challenge?
