A Community Initiative

Overcoming the Barriers to Renewable Energy

Engaging communities is key to achieving local and national goals of reducing our ecological footprint and creating more sustainable lifestyles. REAL is committed to ensuring that community organisations and other local groups become involved in all aspects of sustainability, and aims to focus benefits on different sectors of the community.

Renewable energy is innovative, visible and exciting and is an effective means of engaging with local communities to encourage the uptake of energy efficiency measures and practices in the home.

The REAL team can help all types of organisations, charities, councils, businesses and others have renewable energy installed, and can individuals and groups access schemes that deal with the installation of energy efficiency measures.

To find out more or to discuss becoming involved in the REAL initiative, email Susan Gleeson at CEN, or call her on 020 8683 6614.
