Kent Action to Save Heat

How much are you losing?

KASH is our locally branded discount scheme for Kent and is now in its fifth year of operation.

Since the scheme launch, over 7301 people have been referred to the scheme with around half of these investing in measures. In the financial year 2002/03 2587 people contacted KASH, and 1112 major domestic carbon saving installations were made.

Originally set up as an insulation discount scheme by Kent Energy Centre and ten of the Kent Local Authorities, it attracted 'HECAction' funding in 1999. The scheme has since been extended to include heating installations and efficient boilers, and the partnership now includes all thirteen Kent Local Authorities.

Since the end of the three year HECAction funding period, the scheme has become fully sustainable through our self-funding scheme administration model and continued marketing activity by Kent Energy Centre and the partner local authorities.

For more information about KASH or if you are interested in setting up a similar scheme in partnership with us, contact David Shewan at CEN.
