The Kent Health and Affordable Warmth Strategy

 - The Kent Health and Affordable Warmth Strategy 2005-2008
       (download pdf)

 - The Kent Health and Affordable Warmth Strategy 2001-2005
       (download pdf)

Every year, around 125,000 households in Kent, and at least 2 million nationally, will struggle to keep warm.

The Kent Health & Affordable Warmth Strategy (second edition) sets out a series of objectives designed with the ultimate aim of helping the fuel poor in Kent move into affordable warmth, in line with the aims set out in the Government's 2001 UK Fuel Poverty Strategy.

Produced by a multi-agency Steering Group with input from a wide range of consultees, the strategy supersedes the document originally produced in 2001, and outlines a number of objectives to guide the work of the Steering Group and the wider partnership for the next three years.

Energy Efficiency in London

     - Energy Efficiency in London (download pdf)

This document is aimed at decision-makers, and is designed to briefly review the potential of domestic energy efficiency installations for reducing London’s carbon dioxide emissions. Using information collected from a wide variety of government sources and other policy documents the document aims to answer the following three questions.

  1. What is the potential for domestic energy efficiency installations in London, and the carbon dioxide emissions savings that would result from such installations.
  2. What proportion of London’s CO2 emissions would be offset by accessing the potential for domestic insulation installations?
  3. How cost effective would a programme of domestic insulation installations be compared with installation of generation potential for Renewable Energy?
