Do you know what steps to take
to meet your HECA targets? HECA requires
Local Authorities to increase energy efficiency by 30% over a 10-15
year period, from 1st April 1996.

CEN have developed a new service
which will tell you exactly which measures are required within
your area, and the benefits implementing those measures will have.
Our strategy planning service allows Local Authorities to target
areas within their boroughs with specific energy efficiency measures
and provide assistance to householders in getting the measures installed.
All we need is an indication of the targets that a Local Authority
needs to meet, such as:
- CO2 reduction
- Average SAP ratings
- Required energy use reduction over a given period of time
Using these targets as a guide we can provide a comprehensive service,
including:
- Statistics showing the type and number of energy efficiency measures
that need to be installed to meet the targets, along with cost
benefit analysis of works proposed (based on HEC data already held
by CEN).
- A targeted mailing list categorised by type of measure required,
and/or postal area.
- A mailing service tailored so that householders receive information
specific to the type of measures that they require.
- GIS mapping of indices to allow planning and targeting by ward/postcode
sector (new in 2004)
- CEN's Energy Smart discount scheme offering reductions in the
costs of measures such as insulation and condensing boilers.
