As the Chancellor and his wife prepare for
the birth of their second child, many parents in Sutton

Few parents can deny that they worry about what the future

First school gets solar panel
Pupils at St James' Catholic High School,
Colindale, are the first in the borough to receive some
of their electricity directly from the sun. The school has
been fitted with a solar panel, and will be celebrating
its launch with Barnets Mayor, Cllr Andreas Tambourides,
at an 'Environment and Health Fair' on Friday 24 June.

Local residents get help to stay warm with Coldbusters
Canterbury city Council has recently started
a scheme to help residents stay warm through heating and
insulation measures. Known as Coldbusters and managed by
the Kent Energy Centre, the scheme provides grants of up
to £3,000 to help residents who are vulnerable to
the cold keep warmer and healthier in their homes.

National Maritime Museum shares in £1M funding for clean
energy
UK Energy Minister Mike O'Brien today announced
that the National Maritime Museum in Greenwich will be one
of 15 solar photovoltaic (PV) energy projects across the
UK to share in almost £1 million in funding, bringing
the total amount awarded since the Government established
its scheme in 2002 to £17.4 million.

The local authority Kent Action to Save Heat
scheme is being relaunched this month with even lower prices
on loft and cavity wall insulation and heating. This now
allows residents the chance to become energy efficient at

South London Given £3 Million Boost To Fight Fuel Poverty
£3 million has been awarded to all
12 South London Local Authorities by the Government office
for London (GoL) to tackle fuel poverty. This will be used
to provide grants for heating and insulation measures through
