Creative Environmental Networks works with a
range of partners to provide services
which allow organisations to realise the carbon saving potential
of mini
combined heat and power systems (mini CHP).
CHP
provides a secure and highly efficient method of generating
electricity and heat simultaneously at the point of
use. By using excess heat from electricity generation
and avoiding grid transmission losses CHP achieves
a large reduction in CO2 emissions compared with power
stations or conventional boilers.
Mini CHP is suitable for any site with reasonable
heat and electricity requirements. Although the systems are too
large for most private households, they suit a wide variety of
energy users, from housing providers to small businesses.
CEN's mini CHP services allow clients to take
advantage of a new low carbon dioxide technology with minimum risk.
Our services are designed to overcome the barriers to the installation
of this new technology.
In addition to providing mini CHP as a direct solution, CEN also
provides the technology to assist organisations interested in gaining
operating experience before investing in larger CHP. We can also
assist organisations with pilot mini CHP installations and other
technology viability assessments for building stock.
