Gravesend residents to get access to free advice session
18 March 2005

the roadshow in Gravesend town centre is a great idea. Not only is it great fun, but it also gives easy access to advice and is open to everyone.

Rachel Boycott, Kent Energy Centre

The Gravesham Borough Council Community Bus will be in Gravesend town centre on the 24th March between 10am and 1pm, along with a range of agencies to provide help and advice to the residents of the Gravesend area.

The event is supported by the npower Health Through Warmth Community Projects Grants Scheme. This scheme is managed in Kent by Kent Energy Centre, and staff will be available to give information on assistance that is available for those whose health is suffering due to cold and damp living conditions. Information will also be available on how to make your home more energy efficient, thus saving you money and enabling you to do your bit to help the environment.

Information will also be available on council tax benefits, aids and adaptations for the home and community safety.

Kent Energy Centre will also be offering free stuff to residents including free low energy light bulbs, and Easter treats for the children.

The full list of agencies that are attending are: npower Health Through Warmth, Kent Energy Centre, The Pension Service, Parish Council, Neighbourhood Watch, Citizens Advice Bureau, Citizens Rights for Older People, Kent Association for the Blind, Kent Benefits Partnership and Hyde Housing.
