CEN managed a project to install 3 renewable energy
solutions at YHA Rotherhithe and St Pancras in London. Committed
to making the most of this green development, the YHA and CEN worked
together to publicise the event.
A high profile launch and publicity programme accompanied the completion
of the YHA renewable energy installations. Press releases were provided
to 7 regional and national papers and London news programmes.
The launch event was held at YHA Rotherhithe, with Jenny Jones,
Deputy Mayor of London, as key speaker. Elected members, local authority
officers and local press were all in attendance.
Case studies were developed and provided to numerous environmental
web sites. Elected members have visited the Hostels to see the potential
for renewable energy in the capital.
