Green Energy Services Company

Project research and development

In 2003 the Energy Saving Trust (EST) commissioned CEN to carry out a feasibility study for the development of a Green Energy Services Company (ESCO). The study explored the potential for the delivery of the following services to the domestic sector on an integrated billing basis:

  • Impartial sustainable energy advice services
  • Provision of Green tariffs
  • Provision of discounted energy efficiency and renewable energy measures

Following review of the study, the EST commissioned the development of a Business Plan for implementation.
