CEN has supported the London Borough of Croydon in developing key
renewable energy policies and has provided critical support in their
implementation:
- CEN’s support has enabled the incorporation of renewable
energy policy in key documents such as Croydon's Unitary Development
Plan, the Kent Environment Strategy, the Kent and Medway Structure
Plan, and local authority development frameworks such as Ashford's
Future
and Swale
Forward
- CEN has provided basic renewable energy
training to Development Control and Planning Officers, equipping
them with
necessary
knowledge and information to process planning applications with
renewable energy
elements
- Through signposting of CEN’s services in various Supplementary
Planning Guidance (SPG) documents (eg Kent ODPM development
areas, Croydon, Aylesham, Swale) and the Kent Design Guide, CEN
has supported numerous architects and
developers
through
the
planning
process.
